C.D. Cobras Requirements Checklist

STEP 1: Registering as a Volunteer with CDC

• At the upper right corner of our website (www.cdcobras.com) select sign in (If you have never signed up, select "Register")
  

• Once Logged in, select the "Volunteers" tab and then locate the button that states "New Coaches Checklist"

• Complete the "Volunteer Form Here". Click on “Submit” when you complete the form.

STEP 2: Cal South Coaches Association Registration

• Register for the Cal South Coaches Association here. Use C.D Cobras code: ____  ***IMPORTANT*** When registering with Cal South, you must use the same email address that you used to register/sign into the www.cdcobras.com website within STEP 1. 

STEP 3: Create your US Soccer Profile

• Create your US Soccer Coach Profile here. Click on “Sign Up” top right.

• Check your email inbox/spam folder for email verification link from US Soccer.

STEP 4: Grassroots Orientation

• Register and take Introduction to Grassroots Training – Click Here (20 minutes)

STEP 5: SafeSport Training 

• Register and complete SafeSport training here. (90 Minutes) ***IMPORTANT*** You ONLY need to complete the two compliance training courses within Phase 1. You do not need to complete anything else in the Phases. Do NOT complete the offered background check there. Disregard the term “Not Cleared” within US Soccer as long as both trainings are completed & Not Expired.

STEP 6: Concussion & Sudden Cardiac Arrest 

• Complete both trainings within the course called: Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments– Click Here (25 minutes)

STEP 7: Live Scan Background Check (18yrs+ only)

• Contact C.D. Cobras Registrar (____________) at [email protected] or 562.500.1192 to request a time to complete Live Scan.

STEP 8: Obtain C.D. Cobras Live Scan Validation License

• This license is issued from the Cerritos College validating the successful completion of your live scan performed in step 7.  We will submit completed live scans weekly to the Cerritos College and upon confirmation, we will notify you via email that your license is ready for pickup at the Cerritos College Resource Center. (This license is cost free)
